My son is a member of the Mountain View HS Marching Band located at 2700 E. Brown Rd, Mesa, 85213. I am on the Band Council and I am in charge of fundraising.
This coming school year, the band has been chosen to be the Arizona representative to Hawaii for the 70th anniversary of Pearl Harbor on Dec 7, 2011. With the edition of freshman at Mountain View next year, our band will become the second largest in the state with 202 members! We are in the process of helping our students raise the $1,400 per person they will need for the trip. On top of this, we still need to fund the normal band activities, which come to around $25,000 each year.
I am looking for a local business to donate a “prize” for a bowl-a-thon. As you can imagine, it is hard for us to get the teenagers motivated to fundraise! We are hoping a grand prize will motivate them to participate in this fundraiser in hopes of winning the prize. Teenagers will need something like an ipad or a Nintendo 360 to get excited! We would also need smaller prizes like gift cards to restaurants, movies etc.
We are a non profit 501c3 organization. Anything that would be donated is tax deductible. If you were to donate a prize, we would list you as a band sponsor on our website and in our concert programs. 202 band students and their families and friends would see your business advertised!
